Do power heads get completely submerged. would hate to burn the house down

First off, use GFI plugs so if they try to burn your house down it pops the breaker.

Read the directions on the powerhead or pump. If it says "submersible" you're fine. (or at least that's what I've always done, hehe)

I have never seen a powerhead that was not submersible, but reading the directions/box is always a good idea, nonetheless.

lol....got the gfi plug.
you would think for 60 bucks the directions would help a beginner out a little.

Exactly, but I'm sure somewhere out there some company made one. Knowing my luck someone would read my post, burn half of Rome down, and come looking for me.

If this is that Seio 1100, you need a ME degree to put the mounting options on -lol

Yea....And an ME I'm not. Two engeineering classes and I decided a change was in order.
One of the few good choices I made 20 years ago. The other good choice was a wife :joy:

I HATED SEIO mounts... I gave up and used clothes line clips to hold onto the power cords... (former tank)
