I was reminded that I used to watch thiese shows. I loved Junkyeard wars and watched the british and American version. Then along came Battlebots and the spinoffs of that. These shows came and went really fast, talk about a flash in a pan.
Anybody else watch these shows?

Wasn't that the show where teams would mke remote control robots and fight it out in a big circle. Some had like big hammers, or saws, or just alot of torque to push the other one out of the circle......
Nope, never seen it.

Bronco, is is not on anymore, I can't even find it on DVD.

Grouper there were about 3 robot shows on about the same time, battlebots, robotica and a third that I can't remember the name of.
Yeah I am a geek.

I was being a sarcastic smarty pants, but they don't have that emoticon here.
Yep, the one I used to watch was junkyard wars. Before that show came out, M.I.T. had allways had those same type of challenges every year.
There's no creativity in TV programming today. It's either eat some nasty stuff, try to be the best liar, try to outsmart a little kid, try to guess what smokin' hot gal is holding the million....(love that one BTW) or kiss the Donald's backside.

Guilty.
I enjoyed th Brit version of JY Wars much more than ours. Americans just can't pull off dry British humor. It just doesn't come across the same way.

Grouper, I knew you were being saracastic. I was just proving my geekdom by showing that I watched all 3 robot wars shows.
57, I agree, the Brit hosts were so much more entertaining than the american hosts. When were people going to learn, you never make anything with hydraulics.....they always leaked.

You may not believe this but they have an American version of MXC. It is a little different, but same basic premise.

socal....you got me hooked. What is this? Like the Darwin awards show?? Kinda like a pre-cursor to Jack-donkey.
It's a Japanese game show with English replacing the original soundtrack. The you tube clips are funny, but the originals were side spliting hilarious. You miss the things that Vic and Ken discuss between the mayhem. You really have to find the full unedited versions.

Grouper, you have PM.
