Whenever you guys remove a portion of your setup.. make sure you get all the water out of the hoses before you seal it up for a while.
I had to do away with my sump for a few months because I had a small flood.. I have a back glass drilled tank, and I left the pvc fittings on.. and crossed a 'clear' hose between the two fittings in case it leaked (I also plugged the holes from inside the tank) anyways.. the clear hose obviously filled up with water.
I setup a new sump yesterday and the water that was in the hose smelled so bad I threw up all over myself when the water splashed on me
Make sure your stuff is dry when you are putting some equipment up for storage or out of the way like I did.
