I got my live rocks in from the store here. 12lbs of Totoka. I'm probably starting set up tomorrow. It says these rocks have been cured twice. Do they need anything but a light scrub in distilled water? And 1 other thing, in freshwater we lay rocks on the bottom or just a little sand, do you do that with salt or do you lay them on the bed. it should be 2" if i smooth it or rocks on one side 3" bed on other. i never have done a deeper bed even with a "dirt" tank OH quick question, I picked up some MUD for my planted tank, does anyone use it in there refug, mines only 5" x 5" x 10" just big enough for some macro algae and maybe a few frags, does mud help stabilize salt or is it just for lots of mangroves. it's just that it advertises all over saltwater stuff and hardly ever does with fresh planted, seems weird
