Just baught a Queen Trigger!

I just baught a queen trigger and I'm very excited! My LFS just received a huge shipment of them from Brazil and I wanted to buy more than just one, but knew that it would not work out. Anyone else out there have/had one and what was your experience with this magnificent creature. ?

Nice! Never had one, but beautiful, interesting fish. How big is it? Who are it's tank mates? How big is your tank? Got any pictures?

I had one and I loved him, I wish I still had him but I had to give him up because at that time I was changing the tank I had him in to a reef tank. I had him in a 150g tank. I wish I could get another one but I would have to buy another tank, I cant put him in with my sharks. When I get another house I will get another tank so I can have one. Congrats on your new addition.

She is about 2 1/2 inches and she is in a 72 gallon all by herself. I know, I know......the tank is way too small, but I plan to upgrade in the near future. I don't have any pics, but she's a beaut!

I have one now.She is about 4 inches right now and just starting to get her colors and her character going.I got her about 4 months ago and she was only 1.5 inches.Man thew grow fast.Right now i have her in a 55 with 7 other fish and 6 are other triggers. She has no aggression what so ever, unless you are a crab.Which she loves to eat.I just got my new 210 gallon set up in the house last weekend, which is where her and the other triggers will go.Hope you enjoy your new queen trigger, i would not trade mine for anything.

Seven triggers in a 55!?!? Wow. Glad to hear you just set-up your 210. I also plan on getting a 210. What do you mean about getting colors?

Triggerfre - I dont want to be the trigger police, but your queen trigger will outgrow your 210 as well (if there are other fish in it). This is the only fish that I have ever seen that will require a 200+ tank by themselves.
Your tank with 13 fish will be overstocked in a 210 and there will be issues between your fish, especially when the queen wants her space.
A LFS had one in a custom 300 and it tore everey fish in there apart. They ended up giving the fish to a local zoo.
Good luck

Ok....Interesting...Good Luck with that....Just curious what the other triggers are, i'm betting one is an Undulate...Am I right? I am sure the queen will remain un-aggressive too, thats what they usually do.

I just got a Queen Trigger too. It's a juvenile and got 5 other juvenile triggers. I'm getting a Blueline Trigger next week.
So far my triggers are Humu, Niger, Clown, Undulated, Pinktail, Queen. I'm going to give back my Pinktail to my friend's store.

I know where that is at I used to go there all the time when I was living up that way. They use to sell lepoard sharks there before they became ilig. I went there the last time I visted my family, I wish that I could have brought back a shark but I didn't have the money at the time. I will go there again when I go back to visted. SMALL WORLD HUH

Yeah i know that full grown she will out grow most tanks and her aggression in the future is questionable. But i have had her for about 3 months and she has grown from 1.5'' to about 4'' and the only aggression she showes is towards crabs and snails. Also i feed alot of food to them to curb aggression.I probably feed about 4 times what i should, but there is no aggression in my tank between any triggers. And here is my current stock list that will be going in the 210 from the 55.
Queen Trigger
Clown Trigger
Niger Trigger
Picasso Trigger
Male Bluethroat Trigger
Female Bluethroat Trigger
Male Crosshatch Trigger ( only about 4'' so i hope it is a male )
Female Crosshatch trigger
Porcupine Puffer
Sixline Wrasse.
