Yes once they are comfortable or hungry whichever comes first they will seperate and go on their merry way to find something to munch on.

I purchased 2 turbo snails 1 week ago. So far, one of the two snails has acted very healthy (Each the morning I can see his path of destruction through the algae). The other snail didnt move more than a couple inches during its first 4 days. The past 3 days it somehow managed to flip up onto its side (I think maybe it tried to climb up a rock and fell off). I have been checking on him once a day to make sure he is not dead. He is still alive, but doesnt seem to want to move.
Is this normal for a snail? Should I flip him off his side?

Yes it's ok. My astreae snails did the same thing. I wondered will they ever move? Maybe this activity led to my baby snails that I am seeing now.

Yes. Are they the mexican turbos? When I had those they were always falling off the glass. Unfortunately, they are died on me. The tank didn't have enough algae for all of them.

What kind of snails did you buy?
I clean the front glass with a magnet. The sides and back I leave for them. If however they aren't getting the job done, I'll clean off the sides, but leave the back for them. Is there LR in the tank too? Mine slide onto the rock as well as the glass.
