I have 2. 1 of them has fans the other does not. The fans worked for 3 weeks and quit. No worries as they do not get super hot and did not heat up my tank. I had 1 on my 55 gallon and now have the 2 on my 125. You get what you pay for. They are ok in my opinion.

My fans quit working also after a couple weeks, doesn't overheat though. Had them for almost a year now. I am researching other brands though for my soon to be 125gal.

IT comes with moon light and blue light i think. Do i need to run those at night or is that just for specail looks??

Its just for looks, but you might has well cause theyre only like .5 or 1 watt a piece.
