Just checked the tanks stats

Now i got one of those $40.00 test kits. How accurate are these?

What brand do you have and what are the readings now?

apparantly not THAT reliable...i have a red sea test kit and under the advise of sepulation, i tested my tap water which turned up postive for ammonia...
defective kit

tap water will sometime have ammonia so don't think the test is bad, you should test it on some RO/DI water, everthing should be 0

I just replied in your other thread. I don't think it is the kit.

Those are your current readings? I was thrown off by the "was" next to each of them. I use an API kit myself.
