hello im returning to the hobby after having my tank torn down for about two years.. thanks to loosing my job but anyways to the good stuff...i havea 55 gal..and hope to have my tide pool set up this weekend.. i just had my brown algea bloom which wasnt that bad as my first time setting up the tank.. i run my protien skimm for 5 hours a day during the early after noon... i have compacts for lighting and a DSB with one piece of actually "live rock" and about 20 pounds of "used to be live rock" now my question is with me buying live rock will that stuff eventually migrate over?? thats all i can think of right now.. :scared:

Welcome to the board! Yup, all that stuff should meander on over to the other rock you've got. It'll take time, but (as the slogan goes) nothing happens quick or cheap in this hobby!

oh yeah failed to mention that i have a precula*SP* clown and two blue damsels... not much of a bio load i dont think.. did a test beforecoming to work today and everything was just over the usual.. not totaly bad... i have a canister filter now and a reg. hang on the back filter with bio wheels... :thinking: i kinda figured with the LR that it would take time.. having the job that i have i dont wanna take the tank down again in four years when they ship me to another place in the US.. but the day will eventaully come...well thats a little more about me and my tank.

just ordered some LR from this site as well..the florida stuff... anybody get any of this... good stuff??
