Just did some fragging

I love these orange mushrooms that I have so I decided to cut em up. I took one orange, and one of the purple shrooms, and cut them into 4 pieces each, and put them on one rock. Hope fully it will be a nice piece in a few months. Also, my toadstool was getting real big and blocking light to some of the corals, so I cut him up too. Made 6 pieces outta him. Here are some pics. I will post pics of how they look at different stages of this process.

Completely new to fragging here…
What are the nets over the frags for? Do you have to glue the frags on pieces of rocks? If so, where can you get the glue? Do you cut the corals in the tank or out of the tank? Is there a fragging 101 forum I should be studying?
Sorry for being so Noob… :notsure:
BTW nice corals... :cheer:

You don't have to glue them. The nets are there to keep the frags from moving, giving them time to attach on their own. I am new to fragging myself. Do a search for fragging shrooms and you will find Oceanas post on fragging. Very informative.

Just an update for you guys. It has been a week, and it seems as if all frags have attached properly. The only problems I had was when I removed the netting from the shroom frags, the blue shrooms floated away, The orange frags were attached good. Maybe I didn't have the blue shrooms tight enough to the rock. Next time I will do it better.
All of the Toadstool cuttings lived, attached, and are now starting to open up and look good. Even after only a week, they are already taking a round shape and looking like mini Toadstools. I have placed a few of them where they can grow in my tank permanatly and a few I will trade. So I must say, so far (knock on wood) that my first fragging was a success. I like these orange shrooms so much, that I may frag another one pretty soon, and try to attach to some of my more permanant (cannot remove from the tank) rocks. We'll see how that goes. Might be tough trying to get the cuttings to stay put long enough to get netting around them. But I'm gonna try!
Here are some updated pics with the netting off.

Yes you can slice up the original just taking out a piece. Might look funny for a while. I will look into finding a pic of the original. Lemme see if I can find one...
