Try silversides first, but if they do not work right away, get ghost shrimp and wean him over to silversides. It should take about 2-3 weeks if you have a healthy lion. What kind of lion is it?
Also, make sure that no matter what anyone tells you, do not feed your lion freshwater fish. These are very unhealthy for him.

That's a great Lion Fish. What is the minimum requirement for a Lion fish like that? 90 gallons and above?

Always research your fish before purchasing.
That is a great lion, but Volitans get to be around 14 inches.
Also, they will eat anything that they can swallow... that includes any of your fish, shrimps etc.

Is it true that the Lion will eat anything he can fit in his mouth. I have a panther grouper about 3 inches big he's been around for a while is he in danger now?

Yup.. it's true.. and they have big mouths.. saw a lion swimming around with the tail of a fish still sticking out of his mouth in a pet store once...
Now, groupers do the same thing, Lol. Most predatory fish will eat anything they can.
Not sure if it is in danger, depends on the size of the two fish. Basically, though, a lion fish doesn't see different fish species, it sees size. If he can eat it, he will.
Having said all of that, if you keep a lion fat and full they make awesome pets. Absolutely beautiful fish.
Your tank looks great, btw.
EDIT
If he won't eat silversides after a couple of days, try soaking them in garlic. Then use a small feeding rod to wave the silverside around until he gets used to them. you definitely want him to get used to eating frozen foods to curb his hunting instinct.
Good luck!
