here is the new tank.
Tank Height = 20"
Tank Width = 15"
Tank Length = 36 "
Approximate Gallons = 47
i havent tried cleaning it up yet, because i am unsure how to do that without scratching the acrylic. Any suggestions?
The only problem i see is that the return is as follows...
If looking at the second pic (the back pic), a powerhead goes on the left side.. about half way up... (very hard to see) there is a tube (also black and hard to see) that runs down to the bottom and then to the right.. about half way of the tank... There are small holes on the other side running the whole span of the return tube... therefore, i will have water inflow about 1 inch from the bottom of the tank. I gather this may be very difficult to establish a DSB...
Other than that, the tank looks great.. neatly built in wet dry, with no cracks or stresses.
any thoughts would be great.
thanks

i have the same tank!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my god!
that's so wierd...i have the system 1, not the system two. the only difference is the filtering system in the back... that is an expensive tank! what do you want to do with it? Fish only? reef tank?
I put 40lbs of aroginite, 40lbs. live sand and i have about 50lbs of live rock in mine...works great
have any questions go to their website or e-mail me.....eeldarb21@cox.net

is there scratches? if you want to get out the algae just use water and a sponge, other wise 2000 grit sandpaper will take out scratches or use Novus Products #1 2 or3 to clean and polish,

no.. i am not sure about the scratches... i just wanted to scrub out the dried up algae and wanted to do it in a way as not to scratch the acrylic... i heard stories about acrylic being scratched easily

I would fill the tank with water in the garage or somewhere. Let the dried up stuff get wet and softer...then it will be easier to clean off the acrylic. Use a sponge or very soft cloth so you don't scratch the surface.

To clean lexan windshields in racecars we use baby diapers. Does a good job on the Lexan. ;)
(I dont mean pampers, I mean the cotton ones like our moms used on our butts) :D
