I just intoduce an Atlantic Blue Tang to my 55 reef tank. What should I watch out for cuz everyone says Tangs are hard to keep, and get sick easily. Appreciate the input.

Could be the beginning of ich, but don't rush to judgment. My yellow Tang had the same thing 48 hours after I put him in his new digs. The next day they were gone. If it stays on him longer than 24 hrs, I would consider posting in the disease forum, may be ich or some other stress related problem.

first of all the blue can get prety big and will need a biger tank then 55 gallons and also a sailfin would need at least 125. The tang probaly has ick, do a search on hyposalinity it works the best.

Tangs are ich magnets. Yours seems to have it. Most Tangs especially should be quarentined before adding. Since you have a reef you should not hyposalinate in the tank. Put tang in quarentine tank for at least 2-3 weeks. Observe first day or two and if spots continue which I believe they will, start bringing down the salinity slowly to about 1.09.
You will continue to have ich problems as the tang grows(don't know how big he is now) because 55 is way too small for this tang.
Please read more prior to purchasing fish in the future.
