I just saw Trans Siberian Orchestra... it was more than amazing .... after they did their storyline they played for about an hour and a half more... totaling 4 hours. During their second set they played random stuff, They played Layla which was awesome .... they also brought Jon Anderson out (Singer of Yes) and played a few Yes songs including Round About. Just a great show ... lights pyros sound everything. Anderson picked up a guitar and played Christmas Eve / Sarajevo 12/24 for the second time of the night.... much more intense this time to end the show .... just great .... but boy Anderson is getting old

It started as rock and rollers who love classical. I saw Mark Wood playing violin with our local symphony and he is awesome. He was one of the original starters and plays first chair in the violin sections. He looks a little Chris Angel the Mindfreak. In short, they play classical with rock and roll attitude.
If you remember the big christmas display going around the internet last year, that is TSO playing the music. Here is the video if you want to hear them:

The had Paul O'neil(founder of TSO) on the local morning radio show here last week and he was talking about the light display
I guess he didnt even know about it, till it blew up on the internet, and then got in touch with the guy. He said at first the guy was expecting a lawsuit for using his music without the rights, but as it turns out, he gave him $5,000 to make this years better!
Im awaiting the video for this year, should be INSANE

Yeah from what i understand Paul Oneil writes all the music. creates all the lights and paterns organizes everything , at least that is what was said on stage. He seems like an awesome guy, the band had him come out and he seems very exceited about what he does and it almost seems that it is all done for the fans ... he donated 100,000 dollars to a fund for Domestic Violence in Sacramento ... just an awesome guy
