Hi! Just got 2 koralia 240's for my tank. 30 gal tank. I plugged one in to test it in the sink and it doesn't seem like enough flow..... would 2 of these be enough? Or should I go bigger? I have a small window of time to return them!
I have a korlia 3 in my 28g tank (they dont sell those anymore) and i pushes out a good about 600GPH, it provide alot of flow and its not really over kill for my tank. You might want to go bigger depending on what you want/have in you tank.
Remember.....The good thing with Koralias is the flow is dispersed...SO it doesn't seem like a lot to you, but they work great
you really don;t want a PH that has a strong stream of flow
Meowzer- so would the 2 240's be ok? Right now I have a cheapo PH that blows out a strong steady stream, but it's so strong I have to point it longways down the back wall! Just wanted more opinions before I put the new koralias in the tank
HMMM.......so 240's are nanos.....I just looked it up.....I have a K1 and a K2 in my 29G...+ a rio 600
what do you want to keep? I hate to tell you the wrong thing, BUT....You might want to get one bigger one....
can you use the other one you have for back flow like you have been doing?
well I already have fish(clowns, damsels, a mandarin) and several corals (zoas, mushroom, xenia, polyps, acan.....) I'd like to have more corals. Also get rid of that big bulky powerhead I have now. How about 2 koralia 750 gph?
That seems like a lot ....IDK....Like I said I have a K1, and a K2.....K1's are 400gph and K2's are 600gph
I have one run straight across the back...and the other across the front. I use the rio for top of the water flow

Yes very true, thats why i have three of them (2 nanos and a 3). I dont like how regular powerheads shoot the water in one long stream that pretty much only impact about 2 inches of surface and it gets despersed all over the place and looses power once the streem hits a rock or the glass.
