Just how nasty are Clown Triggers? msg

I really want one, but if it's going to turn nasty and eat every one else, well, I"ll get a different kind of Trigger.
Here's the plan, Right now I have a Heniocus Butterfly, maroon clown and Flame Angel. I plan on adding a Racoon butterfly, Purple tang, Empretor Angel and a blue tang. The Clown Trigger would be last. They will all be very small fish to start with, so they can "grow up" together. (not to mention cheaper!)
This is 120 gallon tank, I'm adding 100 pounds of live and base rock soon (it's on order). Big wet dry filter and protien skimmer. There will be plenty of open space and hiding places.
Do I stand a chance of keeping a Clown Trigger in this mix without there being a slaughter? I had a small one years ago, and he didn't bother any one, but he was also a inch and a half long too. :notsure:

Im 100% with jwtrojan44 on this . I have 110G and with a huma and purple tang in the tank now Im looking at adding just one more fish and thats it ! I know its hard to imagine over a hundred gallons and just a few fish but if you want to do whats right for them its the only way. The tanks look awefully big when sitting there empty but add 4 or 5 inches of sand 125 lbs of live rock and it gets pretty crowded in there quickly. Think long and hard, plan out your livestock and down the road everyone will be better off. HTH Peter

This is the back side of my tank. Complete with R/O system, 30 gal EMT, 20 gal fuge & chiller. The system is all tied together in one clean package that seems to work well for me. My fish all get along and seem to have plenty of room to swim.

I would stay away from the clown trigger. Everything else seemed fine if u "grow" them together. Just be careful and provide lots of rom and hiding places

I wouldn't try the clown or Queen trigger. I'm pushing it with the Huma Huma. He's the man of the tank and can be quit agressive at times. When I added my tusk about 6 months ago he chased him for a couple months. I was lucky though he ate well and was very quick. Now the Huma lets him be to swim as he wants. But I did loose one prior to stress. No more fish for me.

Can't say that I am... It's tuff going against the pros that show up for those tournaments.
Although, I’ve caught some nice ones in the past. Here’s a photo of one. Caught out of Pirates Cove in the outer Banks.

Nice fish! it looked kinda fake though. not like you cought it and mounted it. With the benefit of the doubt, nice catch

Good eye fire fish... It's a copy of the original catch. Now a days you don't mount the original fish... You take his measurements then release the fish. A white Marlin is about to go on the endangered species list. It wouldn't be cool to kill one and bring him back to the dock. I release all billfish we catch. Here he is before we brought him aboard and tagged him.
