ordered epoxy covered magnets for my maxijet powerheads. i would also like to use the magnets to replace the suction cups which hold my heater to the glass...
will the magnets have any negative effects on the heater?
and with everyones experience should i caot these magnets again with plastic dip? i heard that even though they are epoxied they tend to rust?
thanx!

Yep I ordered 3 sets and all 3 sets rusted. Would have been great if they didn't. Some on here have claimed success but mine rusted out really quick. They do make a pretty expensive powerhead magnet holder for around $30. I found one a lot cheaper and like it but much more bulky than a gaussboy magnet. Blends right into my black background though. Others have also had success with magfloats and the like.

A contrary opinion: I have been using the epoxy coated magnets for about 8 months..no problems (yet?).
