Its about 6-7 inches wide when fully extended. I just noticed tonite with all the lights off that she is fully withdrawn. Is that normal?

Just an FYI . . . . that is definitely not a galaxea coral. That is an elegance coral. And unfortunately they fall into the same category as gonipora as far as degree of difficulty goes.

True. That is an Elegance coral which is much harder to keep than a Galaxia but, I wouldn't say impossible. I haven't kept one myself but, yours is pretty.
