the tank is a 100 gallon glass tank....
its 5 feet long 24" tall and 18" wide...
its got 4 holes drilled in the bottom to go to my 2 fluval 404's ....
when i first got the tank i kept only fish and just had 40 watts ....
i then upgraded to about 240 watts of PC and NO flourescents.... i got some anemones since the LFS said it would be enough lighting on my tank.... back then i didnt have the internet and didnt buy a book... woulda been a better choice.... but i got some anemones and easy corals ... the anemones survived the poor lighting for about 6 months worth until i decided to get a new canopy with more lighting for hard corals.... i now have about 480 watts of PC over the tank with 2 cooling fans to keep temps stable...ive now had the new lights for about 4 months or so..... and everything is doing really good and growing at such a fast rate.... as you can see the purple anemone got huge and the other 2 RBTA's got bigger also.... my bubble coral has tripled in size and my colt has gotten like 10 times bigger than when i bought it.... seems like all is happy....
i didnt really transition too slowly i have a timer system and i just started out wtih 6 hours instead of 10 and now im back to my original times....
thanks for the questions and compliments!!!

it looks 5 inches deep but inactuallity its hiding an egg crate system to pull water through the gravel to the drilled holes in the bottom of my tank that feed my 2 fluval 404's
the egg crate is probably 2" tall but has gaps along the edge which allows sand to fall on the sides to cover it up.... its probably 3 inches on top and then the egg crate with another 2 inches along the side to cover it....
