Just started up a 45 gallon saltwater tank and hope to graduate up to a 125 gallon.

These are the population which I have in my tank: Yellow and Blue Hippo Tang, red and white Coral banded shrimp (mean bugger), white and orange Clown fish, four star fish (three bottom feeders and one glass feeder) and a large mexican snail. Am I in good standing?

I wouldnt have put 2 tangs in a small tank,, but its already done so I would say yes,,, when you have the money ,, upgrade.. plus then you could add a few more fish.. as it stands now your about maxed out..

Yes you are indeed correct. I am searching for a much bigger tank but I am not willing to pay an enormous price unless someone is willing to get a tank off their hands. Do you know of anyone?

I just turned on my tank light at around 10:30 to see my Blue Hippo Tang almost white falling to the bottom of the tank after I have turned on the light. I had my water tested earlier that day by the pet shop and I was told that my water was fine. What could be happening to my fish? all the others seem OK.

How old is the tank? What are you feeding? How big are the tangs?

My tang is just two months old and my fish are no bigger than a half a dollar. My tank is 45 gallons and I am hoping to graduate to 125 gallons soon. I just looked at him now and he seems fine. He sacred the heck of me being that he is an expensive fish.

What do you think this could be? He seems fine now and is eating sea kelp just fine. Who was not completely white but very pale in color.

OK...first....get your own test kits.....any time you ever have an issue the test readings are what we would need to know asap....also.....IMO I think your tank is too new for all your livestock
ESPECIALLY the starfish......if at all possibloe you should get rid of them.....and in the FUTURE....maybe....get 1...they need VERY Established tanks
tell us about your set up....filtration, sand, Live rock....how about a picture????
