I've never done a nano tank before. I have had a 55 and sold it not too long ago. I really miss the hobby and I really want to get back in. I'm going to go nano...mostly because since I moved into an apartment, I don't have the space for anything bigger. I want to go with a 24 gallon....i know that the bigger the better...so I'm not wanting to diddle in a 6 or 12 gallon.
here's what i'm looking to buy. I want to know if it looks like a good deal or not....as far as what it comes with and all....also...should i go with the compact or halide. all i want to keep in it is a few hardy corals....zoo's...frogspawn...xenia...MAYBE a clam...but that would be way down the road....plus...i think the price for the halide is a little too steep...i can always upgrade later if need be from the fluor.

I have the Aquapod 24G tank and I love it. I did upgrade my lights the MH lighting, and if you want to keep a clam you will need go a head and get MH or upgrade to them.
If I had to do it all over again I would buy the tank with the MH lighting now, because it is cheaper than if you decide to upgrade to them down the road. Also 64w on a Aquapod 24g is not alot of light and if you want to keep LPS, SPS corals and clams you are going to need the MH lighting. That is why I upgraded and ended up spending more. Some LPS coral will live under PC lighting but I have seen the same corals thrive under MH's

I just upgrade a 24 gallon to a 150 watt MH. The price you pay to upgrade is steeper than buying it up front. If you are going to have the need for the MH, which it looks like you will in the future, buy it now.

i want to do everything right this time around...so if that's what i need, that's what i'll get!!!

what about the pumps and filter and skimmer that it comes with?
will i need to buy that stuff as well? or will that suffice for that size tank?

Mine all work really well in the JBJ 24 DX model. Don't know about the AquaPod? thought about buying it though....

Truthfully, I don't think that there is a difference. I have looked at both, but brought the JBJ because I found it for $169.00 on sale at a local store here in Nashville, TN.

well good...at least i know it's a good price...wait...you got that with flour lights right...not halide??....if so....i might need to do some more shopping!!!

Yea it is the newer one with 4 lights. I talked them down a little with eveything that I brought for start up. check out my other post. just about everything in my tank is from them. You are getting a good deal at the price you mentioned.
