Hello all from Columbus Ohio,
We went to aquarium adventures in the thought we were gonna get my son a couple of gold fish for a 10 gallon aquarium we had laying around well to make a long story short we ended up getting a 24 gallon saltwater setup for him. I love having this system however i have the bug to get a bigger tank now.
Here is what we have, i know it sounds like alot however I had a local fish place check it out and they said everything is perfect and there is no issues
1. 1- Clown Fish (Nemo)
2. 1- Blue Hippo Tang (Dori) - we know we have to get rid of her when she gets big
3. 2- Domino Damsels (Cow Pow and MooMoo)
4. 1- Coral Beauity (No Name)
5. 1- Dwarf LionFish (Spike)
6. 1- Haloween Urchin (Pumpkin)
7. 30 Pounds of Live rock with growing coral on it. Half Carribean Rock and Half normal live rock. 2 skeltons of a brain coral and something else...LOL

Actually yes, for now and please before you judge
1. the Blue Hippotang and domino damsels are about the size of a quarter
2. The clown and coral and lion are only about 2 inches long.

Well I am not here to judge you. Believe me I have and will continue to do things outside of the norm with my tank with an eye on the risk involved. However I will say that no matter how small they are now some of those fish will quickly outgrow this tank, and some will become so aggressive you will lose others to this aggression as well as put stress on the population that may induce some health issues. Your tank for sure, but there are some things you need to be aware of and what the risks are involved. Your risk potential, IMO is very high and if it were my tank I would seriously re-evaluate this stocking list.

Honestly what do you recommend?
I cant get rid of the clown fish or lion fish. I have noticed that the dominos are kinda agressive.

My goodness sweety take the fish back to the store you bought them from and tell them to get a book on fish to read, so they know what goes with what and how huge they get as adults. If they won't take the fish back...dump the bag on the table and walk out never to return and make a loud stink as you go. Might as well, they are doomed to die if you keep them.
To keep these fish you must set up a big (125g or larger) tank now...and even then then, the lion can't go with any of the other fish you have.... Those domino fish are so evil they will bite you drawing blood when they mature, and they will kill the tang that needs a 6 foot tank by the way. That store ripped you off big time.
I would never go to that store again, and feel free to post the name of the place and where they are located so we can spead the word...

1. This fish is a fine addition to this tank.
2. This fish will quickly grow and become stressed at the lack of swimming room in the tank. A stressed fish is more likely to have health problems and with the Blue Hippo that usually manifests itself in the form of cryptocaryon irritans (ich) which will infect the other fish and well cause you numerous headaches, time, money to correct. I would seriously return this fish.
3. These fish will outgrow the tank and will cause so much stress through their aggression the other inhabitants will be outright killed or hide all of the time or succumb to the health issues. I would return these also.
4. Boarderline on this fish being kept in this size tank. The do get rather large and are more prone to getting the health problems.
5. This is really pushing it. Lionfish are messy in their eating and getting rid of the waste from eating. I think most would agree that this fish would be better off in a 40 gallon species only thank. Their mouths are huge and would be able if not likely to eat the clownfish.
I would also find another fish store as this one did not do a good job of starting you off.
Just my opinions here.

Thank you for all the input,
Here are a couple of my questions
1. the lion fish is a dwarf now the fish store said 3 inches is the norm for them.
2. the clown fish is 5 years old so I dont think its getting any bigger.
I dont know what to do because nobody will take these fish back and I have no money to get new ones. HELP

Go here a start looking at some of the things other nano tank owners have done to get some ideas for your tank. When you see something you like start to do some research on it to see if you can meet it's needs for long term happiness, both yours and the critters.

Welcome....sry to hear ur off to a rough start...
Im sry but i concur with the other members!
urchins do indeed need lots of algae to survive and in a new tank they are doomed! That store took ur money and said bye bye good luck! Dont go back if u can help it!
They wont even let u trade or return em...
Try other forums or something to get rid of that lion!
Eventually it will be bigger...lions will eat anything they can fit in their mouth!
Ull come home and ur clown will be MIA!
Try and trade that dwarf angel for some gobies or blenny...just one blenny though for ur size tank...mixed gobies are fine!
Again Welcome and dont be afraid to ask or post questions...no question is to silly or un answerable!

Thanks for all the kind words
I was made aware about the algea for the urchin, I have been feeding it sea weed. I have a thing that holds it underwater and the urchin goes over and eats off of it. He has been eating this way for a month so I assume he is doing good.
