thanks its a fuzzy dwarf lion hes about 3" long.... really cool fish he loves to come up to the glass and just look at you.... i love his charecter.... pretty reasonable too i think i got himf for like 20-25 bucks

What kind of lights do you have? Does that lion ever bother the corals and where did you get him? Your tank looks awesome.

i have power compact lighting.... a few different retro fitted kinds in my canopy....
in total i have 470 watts over my 100 gallon.... a mixture of 10K some 6500K and both actinics colors blue and purple....
as for the lion i just picked him up at my LFS one day he was so cute and colorful that i had to have him.... ive had him now for a good 5 months.... hes grown probably an inch to about a total of 3.5" now.... hes never bothered anything in my tank.... i bet he could swallow a crab or something whole but he never has done anything im glad hes that way
i dont know where else you can find him cuz since then ive only seen one more at my LFS and he wasnt nearly as colorful and a lot bigger.....

the lion loves hanging out around the base of my big colt coral and other times he loves hanging out under the toadstool

i think hes pretty much full grown cuz he hasnt grown much since ive gotten him and he eats a lot.... hes a very good eater and ive never had a prob with him....
im glad everyone likes him....!!!
ill take some more pics tomorrow when the lights go back on ill try to get some more close ups of him on the macro setting...

Sweet tank! We have the same lighting, i noticed you have your hammer low on the sand bed. I have mine up near the top as close to the lighting as possible cause I heard they like alot of light? Is yours doing ok so far down? How long have you had it?

puffer32: the hammer seems to be doing good down there he expands and all so we will see how he keeps.... ive had him now for about 6-8 weeks i think....
im glad that people like the pics ! :joy:
hopkins6: as for the lion he just eats everything that i feed the other fish from frozen shrimp/mysid/krill/formula1 and 2 and squid.... hes a very good eater and eat pretty big chunks of food .... :happyfish
