Kalk dosing with no sump?

As the title says I have no sump and wish to add limewater back to my display.
I have bought a peristaltic pump for this purpose, but it is loud and I would have to either slow pump speed down or divert some of the flow to get a slow drip rate.
What I would like to do is pressurize a container with an air pump to give it enough head to make it to the top of my tank. I know this will cause some carbonation of the limewater but just how much I don't know.
Has anyone tried this before and how did it work?
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for reply.
I know that many people just set a container above the tank and let gravity do the work. However my wife does not want a big jug setting on top of the canopy .
I have an unlimited supply of industrial grade Calcium Oxide, so this will be much cheaper than using 2 part additives.
Anybody need a few tons?
Thanks,

Purchase a dosing pump - place a 5 gallon bucket under tank or whatever you can fit. Then top off bucket as needed. I've seen dosing pumps as low as $25 on e b a y. There off brands but any time you put fish label on a product the price doubles at least.

Yeah, my better half won't allow it either...and really it does look tacky, I think around the tank should look as good as whats in the tank. A dosing pump may be your only alternative

I did purchase a pump for this purpose but it was too fast and too loud. Nice little pump and I may need it for something else someday. But mod was going to be uggly to get what I wanted.
Then I ran across a reefer who was using the pressurized jug setup.
I constructed and pressurized setup with a jug and pump. It seems to work good!
Small air pump was able to develop over 40 inches of head even with jug almost empty!
Made up some kalwaser and start adding with a timer until I can build a float switch for it. Was able to tune flow with water down to 213ml/hour. That flow rate should do just fine for top off at night.
Thanks

I have been using Kalkwasser in my tank for a good many years. I purchased an IV bag from the veterinary clinic and the extension set. I fill the bag by using a turkey baster, works pretty well. I hang the bag on the wall slightly above my tank with the iv line dropped into the back of my sump. I put a very slow drip into my tank, I mean really slow, almost like molasses slow. I have never had any detrimental effects from this method. It's not real expensive and my corals seem to flourish.
