Kalkwasser alternatives for aiptasia?

Hi all.
Are there any other products similar to kalk? Just looking for something that might be readily available and a little cheaper that the kalk. I've heard about something called pickling lime, where is this sold? Also, would just plain old regular lime juice you buy at the grocery work for getting rid of aiptasia?

From what I've read here is Kalkwasser actually translates to "lime water". This is the pickling lime stuff youre asking about.
I dont think lime juice will work. Probably jack up your pH.

Yeah I had read that the Mrs. Wages pickling lime was much cheaper than the $10 or so dollars per pound that Kalk can run. I need to check the grocery store to see if they carry it.
If I can find a small enough bottle, I will just get the Kalk. I just don't want to spend $20-$30 on a bucket that will never get used.

I think the key is you got to have a large one..

There is a product out called Joe's Juice that is suppose to work great, I have not used it personally, so this is just hearsay. I believe it is a lemon based product. It is specifically made for aiptasia.
And as was stated peppermint shrimp will eat the smaller ones.

I did exactly what I read on here. I used lemon juice and injected it (with needle and syringe) into the stalk. They were dead in 15 minutes.

Peppermint shrimp will take care of them; be sure to get real peppermint shrimp not camel backs.
