KC area reefers, the verdict is in...

"The Reef House" on Main st at Westport rd has taken the crown as the area's #1 LFS. Their prices are low, systems are clean and their livestock is beginning to grow. I had a chance to spend 45min chatting with the 2 owners and am very impressed. They are even fragging coral and letting you see it grow. I was impressed with the selection of coral and the prices are comparable to online stores, averaging $20 under the 5 KC LFS's that I frequent. They keep all of their corals seperated by types in tanks with shelfs. None of that sorting through display tanks to find the perfect piece and having to ask how much. I bought 2 chunks of healthy coral and they even gave me a free frag of white colt coral. What more can you ask for???
PLEASE SUPPORT THIS STORE IF YOU LIVE IN KC!!!
The owners are two brothers who have been in the hobby for years, shopping at the same stores that we're used to and sick of. They decided to open their own store and center it around reefs, the way we would want it to be. If you're sick of the high prices, crappy selection and disgruntled employees of other KC area LFS's, go to "The Reef House".
My prayers have been answered, this store is the bomb!
(this has not been a paid endorsement, I'm just really happy!) :D :D :D

Overanalyzer,
Paradise Aquatics is on 119th and a very nice store when they are stocked up. The owner is great, I've been dealing with him for 5yrs now, and always works with you on the price if you're a regular customer.
The Reef House is getting a large shipment of clams and fish on Friday. They expect 40 clams. The store was busy and when I made the comment to the owner that I would try to keep him in business, 3 customers pledged the same. Loyal customers are great and easy to come by if the owners continue to be loyal to us. I love this store!!! :D

Hey PiscesBlue,
Thanks for sharing. I went today to see them, and I was very impressed. They were very knowledgeable and didn't try to give me false info just to make a sale. The best part is that they gave me a free mushroom. Thanks again, I have definitely found my favorite LFS.
