Back to your Tang trouble...
Would you be so kind as to post your water parameters (Ammonia, Nitrate, PH morning, PH evening, ALK, temp, and Salinity) and answer the following questions:
1. Is there a glass cover on the tank?
2. Do you smoke?
3. Is there air circulation in the room?
4. What powerheads and pumps are you using for water circulation?
Thank you
Guy

I smoke. Is this bad for fish? I don't smoke inside the house and I try to wash my hands before I put them in my tank. I've suspected that this was a toxin. Is that right?
Thanks, JP.

I've never seen any scientific literature indicating that second hand smoke is bad for saltwater fish.
I have seen cases where opening a window changed a death tank to a thriving reef though.
