Keep or ditch damse?

Well, I'd go ahead and keep it unless it really develops an attitude. The larger it gets the more aggressive it will become, esp. if it has already est. dominance in the tank. I see you have a fairly large tank, are you planning on adding more fish? If you plan on more docile fish, i.e. Firefish; then you may want to get it out. But if you're planning on a bit more aggressive fish like a dottyback or larger fish like a tang, it shouldnt be much trouble.

i have a yellow damsel that had 3 maybe 4 black lines now hes turning all black in front and yellow is almost gone. what kind of damsel is he. and is he reef safe. by the way he is the devil. if i ever catch him he will go in my aggressive tank. this is the third damsel i would throw in my aggressive tank and there running the show

Some damsels can turn drab in coloration as they grow. According to my book, a Behn's Damselfish begins yellow with black racing stripes and will eventually turn almost all dark, possibly retaining some yellow on the tail.
Yes, its reef safe, but like most damsels it can become aggressive toward other fish unless a dominance hierarchy(sp) has been est. In our case, the Clarkiis became the dominate fish because they seemed to just have enough of the pestering by the 4-Stripe and/or Yellow-tail.
