I have at least 60 of those darn things in my tank. I have been trying boiling water, lemon juice. I have had no luck. I now have stuff coming calles stop aiptasia. I hope this stuff works. It is starting to attack my corals.

Last time...yes, I borrowed a threadfin butterfly from the LFS and they were gone in under a week. I don't have anything in this tank they can hurt so I just consider them part of the filtration. Everything, except the specific nudibranch that eats aip. as it's only source of food, seems to allow for reinfestation or possibility of getting other corals munched on. If the Berghia Verrucicornis nudibranch is implemented you must consider what to do with him when he runs out of food as they ONLY eat aiptasia. You must also have enough to keep him from starving to death before he can find them...don't get one if you only have a couple stalks.
Yep...I got a Copperband Butterfly and all my Aiptasia was gone in about 2 days. He/she went right to work on the Aiptasia within 15 minutes of being in the tank.

If you check the big action site enough there's been people selling whole tanks covered in it with pics of their "little anemones" and how great they are. Sorry for the newbie who buys that.

Google aiptasia or glass anemone. There are too many links that I can't post due to conflict. Dig through the photos to see if one resembles yours. Some are clear with white accents, some are transparent brown. Thet can be tall or short, fat or thin. Some Hawaiian varieties are kinda pretty.

And How! Well, I apparently didn't cut off enough, they came back, but are short a few tentacles.

The little buggers got their trunks in some hard to reach cracks. Only way in seems to be through the mouth... I think I'm going to build a

I am so thankful for this site. If I have seen them in my tank I would have thought they were cool and probably kept them until they took over and then I would have freaked. So thank you to everyone...

nevermind i did some more checking, it is a nudibranch. aiptasia is all it eats. and they usualy starve to death. i guess u would have to have a lot of aiptasia to keep them.
