Other then good quality water what are some of the requirements of keeping a flame scallop? Do they require a ton of light? Specifically will the 100 watts of NO lights in my 35 gallon be suffiecient?
Thanks, Mike

I dont believe they have any light requirements, besides a little to determine daylight. They do, however, need a lot of food. they are filter feeders so baby brineshrimp (enriched) mysis shrimp, plankton (DT's), microvert or chroma plex (by kent) are a few suggestions. I dont know if they can handle larger pieces. You can target feed if you are sneaky. They close and propel themselves away when they feel threatened. sometimes just opening the tank or moving suddenly ccan cause this. For more advice, do a search on this board. Good Luck.

Perhaps I'm confused is it clams that require the lighting? If so, is mine enough (out of curiousity)?
