what do you all have in your tanks to help keep the substrate clean? I have a finer arganite CC. the stock list is a volitan lion, zebra moray and stars and stripes puffer. what do you all think?

the fighting conchs do a good job. I have them in two of my tanks and they keep the sand turned over.

my husband and I had the same problem. we got a brittle star and all he does is wrap around our rocks, so sand time at all. We also got about five red hermits and they may eat some of the left overs but they mainly stay on the rocks as well. Luckily both our eels and brakish lion dig up and stir up the sand enough to get most the gunk caught up in the skimmer. so i would recommend a bottom dwelling fish or eel

My dogface puffer goes around all day blowing in the sand looking for food. He keeps it all nice and clean.

my puffer does this, but not enough to keep it clean. I guess I could try the snails, I just dont want them to get eaten before they can do their job
thanks for all the suggestions

If its crushed coral just vaccum it every other week as part of your water change. Don't count on inverts doing much in a predator tank. The ones that live will only be able to come out at night anyway.

My dogface has eaten every single Nassarius snail I had.
