Kent Marine Biosediment (Refugium Substrate)

Couple questions. Any expiration on this? It is about 10 years old. Also, can this be placed directly in tank for sand-sifters. Seems to say it can but not sure.

You can use it if the tanks flow is adjusted so it does not blow around.

Just have a regular dual wheel filter. Not too much current throughout. Have had same setup for approx 10 years.

I assume the biosediment loses something being stored for 10 years?

No, it is just a very fine sand.
