Kenya tree/capnella ?

My kenya tree has been....detatching..(not sure if thats the right word...) or maybe budding.....anyway here's what is going on. Several branches develop a line around them, this line slowly draws in and pinches shut until the branch has split, leaving the part above the line/cut adrift. I have been taking the drifting branches and attaching them to shells and rock and they seem to be growing. There have been about a half dozen of these buds in the past week. Is something wrong with the big one or is it just doing it's best to populate my tank? The main one seems to be doing ok (how do you know if they're happy?). It did shed about 2 weeks ago (not sure if this is good or bad).

This is very common, and good. Capnella does this when it is happy. Basically it is just fragging itself. You can take the parts that break off and put them where you want them or just let them grow where they fall. I have capnella all over my tank because of it doing this self fragging.
