thanks. you havnt seen it in person since the summer too. u wont belive at how much purple coralline i have now.
ok now I am home. the mohawks are fully open and everything else is peeking. I will try and find a better setting on my camera because right now everything looks extremely blue and I cant capture colors at all. (except blue)

i glued it to an old mag float. And ya I know about the fish lol. I have just been on a real coral high lately. QT is ready so I just gotta earn some money for a filter for it and then I will get either some clowns or a jawfish next.
Well done Kevin! Just a word of caution, do some good research of the requirements for the Jawfish before you purchase one. I am not sure that the crushed coral you have for substrate will be what they require. Also make sure you have a good top on the tank as Jawfish are know jumpers - carpet surfers - fish jerky ...............

i have researched jawfish a lot. they are one of my favorite fish. I have an enclosed canopy over the tank and I dont have any crushed coral haha. My substrate is a large grain aragonite made for burrowing fish such as jawfish. You might be seeing some broken rock chunks and shells on the top of the sand. That is from some live reef substrate I added in on top of the aragonite in a few spots so the jawfish can take whatever he wants to construct his burrow
Sure its not just the camera setting u gotta change since u got the new bulbs?
Cuz i have to change my settings big time from my biocube w PCs to my tank with T5s

I hope the rest open soon. Have you figured out whats up with the camera? or is it the new lights??
Finally have an update! Now I know everyone has been telling me to get more fish and I am sorry if I have let you all down haha. I have been spending my money on corals lately but now times have changed. My QT is ready to go and I finally got a filter up and running on it. Tested everything and the cycle is done. Doing a water change on it asap and getting a pair of true percs hopefully by the end of next week
clowns! the lfs bought them and sold them to be as onyx clowns but I am pretty sure they are just true percs. They are NICE! eating brine shrimp. gotta try and get them to eat mysis but their mouths are too small.
shot of the QT they are in now. they are too fast to get a pic of. I have some videos I am trying to upload of them.
