Kick your pets out when you...?

So we just got a kitten a few weeks ago. (well by now it has been several months but who's counting...) Anyway, the dang thing follows me into the bathroom everytime I have to go. Will hop up on the side of the tub and swipe at the stream?!? Then if I have to go number 2 she'll just stare at me the whole dang time. But If I don't let her in she does the evil cat baby cry. Then when enjoying "married life" can get really dangerous if we forget to close the door. So what do you do with your pets?

Rocky (our Rat Terrier) knows when Mommy says "Get in your bed," it's time to get off the bed and bury his head.
I can't own cats, they're evil. They're not your pet, you're theirs, LOL, and I'm allergic.
However, Rock MUST be in whatever room I'm in, that gets annoying. He growls at me while taking a shower.
Good luck!

It's not what do I do with my cat...it's what does my cat do with us LOL
I can not close any doors w/o Meowzer being in the room with me......he would tear it down, and he gets more of my pillow then I do

My cat tried to play "Bat that Dangler one time" She did not like the flight she took into the fish tank then out into the Breezway at -30 for 5 mins. Has not done that to me since.

Put the animal out of the room and develop a thick skin to all the fits and cries. They, just like our children learn to accept life as the adults dictate. You just have to take control. I have had cat and dogs. I admit dogs are easier to convince to behave than cats, just give them something to chew on. However to be honest I have never allowed critters in the bathroom with me.
The only time any critter goes to the bathroom is for their own bath...they avoid that room.

Honestly, I know that I developed the little monster I have now. He's an abused dog, so I let him get away with way more than he should. Without going into crazy details, I went through a very rough time a few years back and Rocky was the only one there for me day in and day out, so I spoil him. He behaves, but he's super needy, and I don't have the heart to break him of it, since I made him this way to begin with. My husband and I take him a lot of places with us, so he's used to being with us all the time. He sleeps at the foot of our bed, etc. He really is a very well behaved dog, so I just deal with his weirdness sometimes.

My opinion:
An abused sweet baby dog deserves and needs that extra care. If dog baby sleeps at the foot of the bed and bites your feet if you move, you have a problem..but spoiled for love and your companionship is not a crime.
A young kitty that plays with winky as you pee is trouble, as is one that chases your feet when you try and walk.
I forgot to mention..the cure for an over needy kitty is a playmate, they play with each other and ignor you till snuggle up sleep time, then everyone cuddles and naps together. Such are what happy homes with critters are made of.

lol today, I was walking under our tree, when all of a sudden I feel hair, warm claws and a tail on my shoulder. The dang cat divebombed me while I walk walking under my dang tree. Talk about scaring the crap out of me... (I had a possom fall off a roof once and land on me at about 4 in the morning) lol

Kitty needs a playmate and he has decided you are it...I know this sounds lik a crazy idea but two kittens are easier than one. Later on two adult cats won't take up much room nor eat all that much....so getting another kitten is a good solution, when you see cat people...you often see more than one kitty in the home, and the vet can make sure they don't become six or seven..

I will agree with that we got my 5 year old cat callie a playmate. We got her a 7 week old Calico Kitten that is a Spitting Image of her. Now if the Hissing Snakes will stop when they are playing and they do play most of the time just callie is like Leave me alone sometimes and the kitten is like Sorry I want to play.

I adopt a cat for Charlie to play with but looks like Charlie never wanted to play with him. Charlie is now really stress because of this little cat, he's too energetic and playful.
