He would bolt in a heartbeat if he had the chance.
Actually it's not that thick. It's a bungee style leash for rodent pets. (built like a really long scrunchie)

my neighbor got one of those dogs. the person they got it from was going to use it in shows, so they debarked it then, the adult teeth grew in and they said nope, you're not show worthy.

Yeap! Purebred border collie - we picked him up from the pound, cause somebody didn't want him. When we got him he was deathly afraid of men - tell you anything? Lots of jerks out there in the world.
