killer coral banded shrimp?

I have a 75 gallon recently re-established reef (running with just live rock for
1.5 years) with 2 clowns , a lawn mower blenny, pepermint shrimp, cbs, shrooms,gorgonions, and the usual cleaner crew. All tank parameters are good... NO2 0 NO3 0 AMONIA 0 etc... Recently my coral banded shrimp started acting aggressive to the fish (always seemed pissed at the pep shrimp) next thing you know Wed 1 neon goby MIA, Thurs the second neon goby Mia. Coindence or murder?

Clarification..."recently re-established", meaning? Did you just add this livestock, or has it all been in there for 1.5 yrs.?

My CBS is aggressive towards just about everything in the tank. I've even seen it wave it's greedy little claws at my fish. It is certainly possible that if the missing fish partially bury in the sand to sleep that they were unprotected and got "attacked", though I can't say for sure.

CBS are commonly aggressive and opportunistic - so he may very well have killed them
I have one in a community tank with peps, skunk, chromis, clown, and many others - he began to get the aggressive behavior so when feeding time comes around I would hand deliver next to him a shrimp pellet and that seems to have stopped the aggression.
Some are not ever going to calm down and some are never aggressive - it's just a crap shoot with those guys.

I must have gotten lucky with my 2. They have been model citizens for 6 months now.
I still won't trust them with other smaller inverts like peppermint or skunk cleaners.
Actually, sometimes I wish they would get my Emerald Crabs.

last fish passed around 1.5 years ago very busy time, so I kept the tank running did water changes every month or so. then in october I decided to bring it back 5 g water changes about every day till all the water had been changed out by dec added cleaner crew (with shrimp) then clowns toward the end of dec and in jan added shrooms, gobies and blenny

Like most already said they are a crap shoot. Some are killers and some never do. I love the look of them but I dont know i could trust them enough for my tank. Wish they were not like that I would have one in a heart beat lol.
