Is it possible that my engineer goby ate my cleaner shrimp?

you'd be suprised how many larger species goby's will eat shrimp and other fish. very possible.

I think a third of my posts are about the livestock eaten by my Engineer goby. The day I finally caught mine was one of the best that I have had in the hobby. It starts with a suspicion. Then you are sure but you have no proof. The next thing you know you are down 4 or 5 small fish and the thing has a big old gut. If it gives you the opportunity, I'd get it out of there.
I don't believe that they are all bad. But Mine sure was.

Ok thanks for the advice. I really hope he didnt,cuz i dont want to have to go and catch him in my 125 reef. I have about 300 lbs of rock to move. UGH

I wanted to test if my engineer goby would eat some peppermint shrimp....so I bought some feeder shrimp/ghost shrimp. I acclimated them to salt water and put them in...a couple nights later no more ghost shrimp....so Im pretty sure he ate them.
I wont be purchasing any shrimp for that tank!!
