killer snail???? is it possible????

last night when the lights were off i was looking arond the tank..... i have a contch snail of some sort that dwells in the sand during the day and at night comes out.....i also have seen some other type of snail that is very small, has a long shell,,,and the shell color is white with orangeish stripes..... anyway last night i saw the little snail on top of the contch and the contch was rapidly moving side to side trying to shake him off.... and this morning i found an empty contch shell in the same place i saw the two fighting.....is it possible for a small snail to kill a snail 10 times his size????

I believe I heard whelks will do that. Try a search. Somebody had a pic on here a while ago.

it was a hitchicker....i cant tell if it has any spearing type of thing on it because its so small....about the size of a larger tooth pick but only 1/4" long..... and it is a cone shape but a very long cone shape...... i have seen on TV a type of snail that

fish and injects them with venom...ill do a search for them but what did the post say about them??
