Ken Shamrock was right. He said he'd expose kimbo for a what a fraud he is. Too bad he wasn't the one to do it lol. A no-name guy took out the overlyhyped kimbo with a freakin' jab lol. The ref had to stop the fight. He was laid out not even protecting himself. Imagine what a real MMA fighter like Arlovski would do to kimbo.

Thats pretty much what I said when they said this kid would be stepping up to fight . I said well if Arlovski stepped up kimbo would be getting a beat down .
Just goes to show Bottom level MMA fight > high level street fighter .

It pays to take a chance sometimes.
A last-minute gamble pocketed Seth Petruzelli $50,000 for his 14-second demolition of Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson Saturday at EliteXC “Heat” at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., according to numbers released to Sherdog.com by the Florida State Boxing Commission.
The pink-haired Floridian was set to face Aaron Rosa in a light heavyweight preliminary bout that evening before EliteXC officials approached Petruzelli (10-4) with the offer to replace a medically suspended Ken Shamrock in the heavyweight main event, which aired live on CBS. Petruzelli’s earnings included a $15,000 win bonus.
Slice took in $500,000 to help ease the first blemish of his short but explosive career. Slice (3-1) missed out on a $100,000 win bonus.
Heavyweight Andrei Arlovski (14-5) also netted $500,000 for his second-round shellacking of former International Fight League champion Roy Nelson (13-3), who was paid $80,000. Both fighters were compensated by Affliction Entertainment, which co-promoted the bout with EliteXC, and did not have reported win bonuses.
EliteXC welterweight kingpin Jake Shields (22-4-1) earned $50,000 ($40,000/$10,000 win bonus) for his successful first title defense against British bomber Paul Daley (18-7-2), who took in $12,000.
Female MMA’s brightest star, Gina Carano (7-0), took home $25,000 ($15,000/$10,000 bonus) for her rousing three-round unanimous decision over the game Kelly Kobold (16-3-1) in their 140-pound contest. Kobold earned $6,000.
Middleweights Benji Radach and Murilo "Ninja" Rua opened the live CBS event with a bang, with Radach (19-4) finishing the former EliteXC champion in the second round via ground strikes. Radach garnered $30,000 ($15,000/$15,000 win bonus) for his efforts, while the fallen Pride attraction Rua (16-9-1) earned $35,000.
Other EliteXC payouts included:
Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos -- $4,000/$4,000 win bonus
Yoko Takahashi -- $2,000
Conor Heun -- $2,500/$2,500 win bonus
James Edson Berto -- $6,000
Mikey Gomez -- $2,000/$2,000 win bonus
Lorenzo Borgomeo -- $1,500
David Gomez -- $1,000
Bryan Hamade -- $500/$500 win bonus
Jorge Boechat -- $1,000
Nicolae Cury -- $750/$750 win bonus

I don't think you can make a good judgement on a fight that quick.. he just got caught... could happen to anyone... it was just a perfect punch. ...
I can understand if it was a haymaker, choke, or armbar....but a "jab"?! LOL

thats crazy... chump change for most of them
Slice sold the match...
But I've seen many fighters get taken out by 1 punch... not a haymaker... just a well placed punch... or kick.. was watching a UFC match.. and one guy was getting tore up... and suddenly he landed an awkward kick to the side of the head... and knocked the guy out... thats all it takes...

It's all about stars alligning, I knocked a guy out in my high school backyard boxing days with something more or less a jab, just depends where it lands and if its where you've been hammering him with hooks. Eventually the "spot" gives in if it hit enough. Any of you guys ever been hit right below the nose and above the top lip? it's a critical spot, I got dazed from getting popped there before and it woke me up in a heart beat. And when you're wrestling and throwing and you hurt people without doing anything either by just using your opponents momentum to hurt them with a guided throw. or with hapkido, I got a guy to tap putting my index finger knuckle in the "hole" behind the ear... I only held it for 3 seconds and heard this sick scream while he tapped. Weak stuff works when used properly. Ever seen elbows end a fight? It aint hard to throw an elbow to the temple when someone is in close and not expecting it. They go down every time.

Honestly though, this fight was as much as a disadvantage to Kimbo as it was to Petruzelli. Slice is bigger and faster then Shamrock IMO, and that was Kimbo's game plan, simply to muscle Shamrock around. However, when paired up with a much younger (read: significantly faster) Seth Petruzelli, that plan would have dyer consequences as shown.
Either way, it was a good fight and showed what years of proper MMA training is all about.

haha, he definitely got beat. If he didnt react in those 4 seconds he was on the ground, he wasnt going to react in the next 10, and by then would have been beaten senseless.
Who cares if it was just a good punch, thats what fighting is , trying to get a good punch on the other guy before he gets one on you.
