i posted earlier in another forum that i got my royal gramma today.
ok the problem is my yellow tail damsels are beating on him
i have one of those cups like they use at the lfs's to catch fish (dont know what they are called), anyway, should i put the gramma in this overnight? and see if i can catch the damsels tomorrow? he will get plenty of flow and could probably even get out if he wants, it would be hanging at an angle, but i dont see anyway that anything else could get in.
what do you think?

I think you're in a pickle. If you put the gramma in the container where it cn get out then it will. Damsels are really hard to catch.
I would put the Gramma back into the quaranteen tank until you can remove the Damsels. Or, keep the Damsels and take the Gramma back.

I should start a "Rent a Lion Fish" service...
You take out the fish you want to keep (they are pretty easy to catch anyway)...Then I bring over my Lion...a day or two later and the Damsels are gone and I come back and get my Lion fish...(He's pretty easy to catch as well...)
Badda Bing, Badda Boom...Problem solved...:D

You can move your rock around to brake up the damsels territories and leave the gramma in .Then they will all be to buisy making new homes to worry about the new fish. Or you can get another damsel that will really upset them and they will spend all there time chasing it,,,Just kidding but rearanging your tank works.

Well if he was in your lagoon I don't think you'd have any other choice but to cast out and hope you catch him. I can just imagine running around that trying to net a damsel in there.

I don't know how your tank is setup. But,if you get a piece of glass or plexy you can make it a little easier to catch the little buggers.Make sure the ends of your tank are fairly open.Chase the damsels into the end of the tank and use the galls piece to section off a corner area of the tank. This will greatly decrease the area of the tank you will have to catch them in!Good luck!
