I am pretty sure the answer is no but I wanted to double check if I could put a kole tang in a 46 gal. bowfront. I have a yellow in my 75 gal. and like tangs so much but if you guys think I shouldn't then I won't, because I don't want to torcher him.

I had a Kole in a 75 gallon and he did well for awhile, but they are constantly moving aroung and I thought the 75 was too small for him so I gave him away.

Ive seen koles in 50 gallons. I guess it depends on the fish. I think that koles are probably the smallest species of tang, and they really need like alot of caves and stuff to swim through to feel comfortable. I would give you the thumbs up on that. Im getting one for my 55 soon, once the yellow leaves. Cant wait, they are awesome fish.

Thanks chandler maybe I'll have second thoughts and get one. My only concern is my tank is only 36'' long but its 46 gal.

Yea, maybe not a good idea after all. Well, its your choice. I mean, if it seems to be happy, then go ahead with it. If it dont like it, then birng it back to the store. Its that simple really. ITs a good possibility though. Some fish like a lotta swimming room, but others of the species dont. Just depends on the certain fish.

I have a Kole blue eye, in my 55g, he's fat and happy, having lots of powerheads/water current helps a lot too.
I'm also fairly sure that the Kole tang is the smallest tang reaching ~7 inches.
