Kole/ Yellow Eye Tang not eating

I picked him up on Sat and he has not eaten yet. I have tried everything. Flakes, algae sheet, Brine Shrimp, Emerald Entree for Omnivorous, and Formula Two. He appears to be doing well in the tank and is not getting picked on from any other fish. He is picking at the live rock, but I do not qualify this as eating. Any thoughts???????

I bought my Kole tang a week ago today and he still has not eaten anything. He's been grazing on the LR a lot, and there is a good amount for him to eat, so I think he's just getting enough from his grazing.

I don’t have a ton of algae on my LR or anywhere else. But he does seem to graze a lot. I thought an Algae sheet would do the trick. I think he is scared to death of the clip holding the sheet.

Tangs are generally good eaters try some Cyclopeze. Was he eating at the LFS does he have a pinched appearance. Close to a week with out eating a substantial amount is a real concern. Try this. Get a length of fishing line tie one end to a small rock and attach the other to a piece of algae sheet put it in your tank and have the algae sheet suspended mid tank

rubber band a sheet to a small piece of lr rubble in your tank

I am going to try attaching the sheet to a rock. My fish has only gone 2.5 days as of now and does not have that pinched appearance.
Does anybody else have a thought on garlic?? And if so what is the trick.

You can even try a leaf of roman lettuce, this sometimes works very well when tangs are finicky when they first arrive in their new home. Althought the algea sheets are much better for them.
