Koralia vs. Maxi Jet

I need some new powerheads, my rio 400's both died after only 7 months of use. Should I go with the Koralia or the Maxi Jet's? I have a 46 gallon bowfront tank, how big of pumps do I need? I have an aqua c remora and emperor 400 filter, I have no Idea how much water those turnover.
Thanks

I only run Koralia in my tanks. Have 2 #2's and just added a #4 to my 90gal. They have a wider flow so they hit everything.

I have two #2 Koralia on my 46 and wish I would have bought #3. I also run two MJ900 with the Hydor FLO rotating heads and a Seio rolling the surface of the tank. For even more flow I use a AquaClear 110 converted to a refugium.
I may have excess flow but it keeps partials suspended in the water column a long time. I feel this gives my skimmer more time to remove the floating organics and also keeps food moving past all my corals.

For widespread flow, use Koralia (I recommend a 2 or 3 in that tank). For strong, linear flow, use a Maxijet 1200. If its going to be SPS, I recommend a MJ1200 with Sure Flow mod and a Koralia 3

I have 2 Maxi-Jet 1200s with Sure flow mods in my 75G. They work great and have a nice wide flow. You can pick up the powerhead and the mod for about $35. I dont have experience with the Koralia, but have heard great things about them. I have heard that the Maxis are better if you are going to use a cheap wavemaker. Either way I dont think you can go wrong.

I have both Maxi Jets and Koralias. They both work great, heven't had any of them break down. Koralia gives you a wider flow while Maxi Jets, more powerful and concentrated. In my 150 gal I have 2 Koralia blowing horizontally from each side and 1 Maxi Jet blowing towards the surface placed on the back glass about halfway the middle of the tank.

the mj1200 only puts out 295gph. some people think it means 1200gph....just to be sure you know this.
i have both koralias and mj's as well.
as stated above, the mj's are better for wavemakers that turn the pumps off and on abruptly. the koralias wear out quickly in this application. they do make a wavemaker specifically for koralias though.
also, koralias are huge. modded mj's are much smaller. it's something to consider in a smaller tank.

Add some of those new Magnum 8's Koralia makes... something like 3250gph..
I was talking to the guy at MACNA and he said they are going to try and get out the controllable ones (magnum) out around the first of the year..I got to play with one of their controllers...Sweetest thing I have seen in a while..Backlit led screen and can operate 4 PH's Independently
