Language in posts! Please read and take to heart.

The last few months there has been an influx of language that is not allowed to be posted on this site. Its sad when grown adults cant find better words to use. I have personally edited several threads tonight alone just for language! This is ridiculous and needs to stop!!
I understand that politics and religion can get people heated up about their views but a better choice of words and abbreviated words is needed for this board!!!
In essence if you cant find your post it may not be there anymore and then ask yourself "WHAT DID I TYPE?" you might find the answer to why you cant find it anymore.
We do not tolerate the use of profanities of any kind. This is a family oriented site and it wont be allowed! It's part of what sets us apart from the other sites.
Using abbreviated and different characters in a post to bypass the word censor is the same as using the words themselves. Doing this is against the rules and will get your post deleted.
If you see this in a post Please PM a Moderator to have it taken care of.

why is there political viewpoints on this site? i thought it was a fish/aquarium information site. just thankful i can ignore the political opinions and don't HAVE to read them. it is just a little disturbing to see them here.

I think it's healthy to have discussion about different topics. And it's in a seperate forum. So it's like turning the channel on the cable box.

If there are political threads elsewhere on this forum, please do report those threads to a mod. But as the description under the Aquarium sub category suggests, this is an area for "Off-Topics," those not related to aquaria.

The Aquarium forum is jsut for this and any other non-reef/fish related topic. If you will note there are many forums geared toward the hobby of reefkeeping and related subjects, only one for non-related.

Right, that is what the "aquarium" is for. We spend so much time talking about aquarium inhabitants, it is nice to have a forum to talk about non SW topics. The rules of the board still apply though.
