Hello Folks,
I was considering getting a larger angel, like a Regal or Annuluris. Would buy as a juvenile.
My LFS said it is kosher, but wanted to get a second oppinion.
Thanks

Your LFS will almost never tell you when something is too big. The juvenile would be okay I would be afraid of it outgrowing an 80g.
They will need a 6ft tank when they are full grown, the larger or better. Maybe it's not the answer you want to hear but there are plenty of dwarf angels that are equally as beautiful that would fit just fine. My favorite is the Coral Beauty or Flame Angel. Do not confuse Flame with Flameback, Flamebacks are more difficult to deal with.

I agree with this poster. All adult angels will get much too large for an 80 gallon aquarium. Your LFS did not give you the exact truth in order to make a sale. I would look into a dwarf species.

I already have a coral beauty and bi-color angel in the tank.
I was insterested in ordering a larger angel to compliment the mix.
Thanks for the candid feedback, I think I will pass in the best interest of the specimen.

They work out fine. They were put in at the same time, and leave each other alone.

I think that whole "don't keep more than one angel together" is a load of hooey. As stated, a large angel needs at least a 6 Ft. tank.
