Last fragging question!

Tonight I was going to try and frag my xenia and a mushroom. Will either of these release toxins that could kill my fish? Should I remove them from the tank for the night after fragging and put them in another container?
Thanks

They are gonna release stuff into the tank.. this is why you wanna frag outside of the tank. If you have a small tank then you wanna do it outside even more so.

They won't harm your fish, but they might start sliming a lot. As Speg said, it's best to frag them out of your main tank.
I just grab a bowl with some tank water, but the corals to be fragged in there, cut them up, and leave them in the bowl for a few more minutes. Then I just glue/net/rubber band the new frags to rocks and put them back in the tank.

I did it and I think they cut pretty clean except for the mushroom that had a large base and was hard to get off the rock. I got most of it off though, just a little bit still left on the rock. I have them in a a small container right now and will leave them in there for a whilejust to be safe, they have a battery powered pump in there too with them. I have carbon running in the main tank (24g) so hopefully that will take care of any nastiness that may occur. I also had to knock off a brain (randomly grew from a skelton I could have sworn was dead) from a zoa rock since they were taking over. I tdon't thin we hurt the flech of the coral though. Should I be ok to have this in my main tank?
