omg mimzy i know you made that sweater

LoL, yes I did. it was superfun.... it's the only thing I have for him that fits him correctly. bassets have such oddly shaped bodies; no standard doggie clothing fits properly; it's either wayyy too long in the arms, too tight in the chest, wont fit over his head, or far too short. this sweater fits him perfectly, and every time we go to fundraisers for the basset rescue organization, I get TONS of pple asking where I got it. maybe I should sell a few.....

Hopefully, someone will make you a sweater, or buy you a coat, and give it to you, so that you too will be able to stay warm in the cold. Or do lawyers not need protection from the cold?
Very cute dog and everything, but if it were me... I'd probably rather freeze.

You SHOULD!
I too am a believer that if a dog is cold it should have a sweater! Phoebe LOVES her clothes... she can't help shivering, do you know what her mass to surface area ratio is?!

Roland is a Basset Hound. He is also cold. Why is he cold? Well, b/c he is not a natural dog. He has been overbred and in-bred and outbred and bred-in-between & underneath for hundreds of years and has a type of dwarfism and several other genetic issues. much like every other purebred dog. I'm not going to let him shiver through the winter just b/c I want to deny what humanity has made of him. I knitted him a sweater, and during the colder months, he wears it. It keeps him from shivering. Hopefully, someone will make you a sweater, or buy you a coat, and give it to you, so that you too will be able to stay warm in the cold. Bassets are cool. I couldn't find one in Montana so we got beagles instead. BIG MISTAKE. The perfect combination of stubbornness, intelligence and sneakiness. A practical joke on 4 legs

Now I have a Lab Spaniel cross. He's not too bright but he hasn't figured out how to climb over, tunnel under or disassemble the fence for the pure enjoyment of investigating a new smell.

Beagles are friggen smart, and the RUN, right after we moved, our two dogs ran back to our old home (across the city of fort worth) about 20 miles away, they got picked up on our old doorstep. (asleep) They moped around for about 3 days (dog tired) after that then they were back to their old and mischievous way.
