So I have a crazy idea but before I cause my saltwater tank to crash I figure I would post it here.
I have heard that lava rock eats nitrates in aquarium settings. Is this a good alternative to live rock? Would it be good in a sump system? Could it maintain an aquarium by itself or would it fail miserably? These are my questions.
We are looking to fire up our 54 gallon corner tank again we just haven’t decided if we want to go Fish only saltwater or freshwater.
