Lawn Mower Blenny

I just got a Lawn Mower Blenny today

full grown looks like, I have a 75gal tank with 1 Clown Trigger, 1 Blue Damsel, Crabs, Starfish, Sea Urchin, 1 Engineer Goby with live rock only...anyway I was hesitant to buy one because I didnt want my trigger getting him but on ***********.com marine compatiblity shows that Triggers and Blennies can be put together with caution, but wasnt a no on the two. So I went ahead and got him, first I fed the Trigger and while he was eating I put the blenny in, after the Trigger finished eating he noticed the blenny and went right up to him and did nothing, and for the entire day the have been swimming close and no aggression yet, I do have plenty of caves if he needs to hide but he mostly stays on top of the rocks. The only one being bullied is the blue damsel, he had his own rock and the blenny took it over and keeps him away from it. so my question is has anyone ever put a clown trigger and lawn mower blenny together? Hoping they will be fine, since everything is going well and he still has places to hide, which he blends in pretty well too.

Well its been a week and they are still getting along, they even swim together at times, but no aggression, the blenny just peacefully eats all the algae all day

i love my Lawnmower Blenny i named him chili and he's so aswome he's active and full grown

You are not suppose to post competetor sites on here. Just to let you know, and with Blennies you have to be careful, because if the get ich, it is over. They don't have scales to protect them.

Lawnmower Blenny are great for newbies to tanks mine lives in dead coral that hooks on boats he lives now in a fake log with my Engineer Goby

sweet you have a Engineer Goby and Lawnmower Blenny mine are best friends

I hope mine become that way, I dont think the blenny even knows hes there, hes spends so much time under the rocks and the blenny is always above the rocks....I am wanting to get another saltwater tank as a "friendly tank" ill move him if I do and get another, I love them I just cant believe how big the goby got since I got him

it took awhile for mine to meat but my Engineer Goby almost took a bite out of most of my damsels so i had to watch him but he stopped after my Engineer Goby met my lawnmower blenny

i didnt have to worry about him eating my other fish

and "friendley" tanks are aswome my friend has one with like 6 Engineer Goby's and they are really nice to each other i'm trying to get a goby and blenny tank

I've had several LMB, and they have all been aggressive to the other fish. I think they can hold their own.

i have never seen a mean lawnmower blenny the guy i got mine from said it was a diamon back goby i laughed and left it was funny

well he told my blue damsel!!! but im glad cause one I wanted to take the blue damsel back cause damsels are so mean but couldnt catch him and he thinks or thought he owned the place, but the LMB told him different and now they dont bother each other anymore, he hasnt bothered anything else

i have 1 damsel it's pure black with some neon blue stripes

I just bought my second lawn mower blenny. I have been slowly rebuilding my 125 gal tank since last October when I got a massive ich outbreak. Everything in my tank 2 4-5"tangs(yellow, naso), one bi-color angel, 1 lawn mower blenny and 1 scooter blenny. I put the bicolor angel in after a 3 hour acclimation and 2 days later, everything was covered with ich. I tried everything I knew and the fish got worse.So, I broke down and tried CopperSafe. Fish still died and the supposed "coppersafe" killed all my inverts.
It was a total loss in 5 days start to finish. Well, sorry for the ramble, point is the last mower and this new one are the life of the tank. This new blenny is having a field day on the algae on the back glass. He perches himself on the plants and mows the algae for a while, then swims to the top of the biggest rock and just hangs out for a while. Quite the character.
